Introduction Level

I have worked with the team at Small Indie Company to create the Introduction Level for “We The People”.
This project is still under development, because of NDA clauses I can’t disclose a lot yet.

Level Summary

I created the Introduction Level Blockout for “We The People”. A hardcore first-person shooter, which is already wishlisted by over 100.000 people, awaiting it’s release.
I worked collectively with the Creative Director, a narrative Designer and some other people in the team to create an engaging introduction level!

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of existing Games which were created in the Hardcore Tactical FPS Genre

  • Research of big shooter games, like Escape from Tarkov/Arc Raiders/Tarkov Arena/…

  • Analysis of Real-World Locations to create a level based on real locations

  • Creation of Bubble-Flow Graphs/Partis/Concepts/… for testing pacing, flow in a Tutorial area

  • Creation of a Blockout for the Tutorial Level

  • Went a step further and created a Prototype for easier playtesting and iteration

  • Scripted Dynamic Events/Interactions, Dialogue System, Cutscenes, Sound Implementation, Lighting, Post-Processing, Modelling, …

  • Conducted internal playtests with team members

  • Communication with the Creative Director to follow and iterate on his original vision
